Backend Developer - Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and sustain scalable, highly available backend services.

• Create APIs and integrations with both internal and external systems.

• Engage actively in squad technical discussions, contributing to architectural decisions and best practices.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality, readability, and maintainability of the code.

• Work with distributed systems and architectures based on microservices.

• Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and best practices for continuous deployment.

• Monitor applications (logs, metrics, alerts), identifying and resolving any issues.

• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams to create efficient, scalable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development using at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, or Node.js).

• Proficiency with backend frameworks (such as FastAPI, Django, Express, Echo, Fiber, or similar).

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Understanding of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD methodologies.

• Proven track record in automated testing and development best practices.

• Ability to assess technical trade-offs (performance, scalability, cost, and security).

• Experience working in agile squads and participating in collaborative code reviews.

• Previous experience with high-availability or mission-critical systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with multiple integrations (external APIs, authentication, billing, legacy systems) is a plus.

• Previous experience providing technical leadership on specific aspects of projects or initiatives is a plus.

• Capacity to contribute to architecture definition and solution design in collaboration with Product is a plus.
