Backend Developer – Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services using Node.js.

• Implement and enhance integrations with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Ensure adherence to code quality standards, automated testing, and best development practices.

• Collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to align on technical requirements.

• Monitor and enhance application performance, scalability, and security measures.

• Engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.

• Contribute to system architecture, improvements, and refactoring efforts to ensure sustainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in Node.js development.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Advanced understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

• Skilled in version control systems, particularly Git.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, and Chai.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and messaging systems including Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Awareness of security best practices for backend applications.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

• Experience working within agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both clear and collaborative.
