Backend Developer — Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services utilizing Node.js

• Implement and enhance integrations with both relational and NoSQL databases

• Ensure adherence to code quality standards, automated testing, and best development practices

• Collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to align on technical requirements

• Monitor and enhance application performance, scalability, and security

• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level developers

• Contribute to architectural decisions, improvements, and refactoring efforts to ensure system sustainability

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in development with Node.js

• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript

• Familiarity with REST APIs and/or GraphQL

• Advanced understanding of databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB

• Skilled in version control using Git

• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, and Chai

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ

• Awareness of security practices for backend applications

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Preferred: familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

• Preferred: understanding of CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI

• Preferred: knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack

• Preferred: experience working within Scrum and Kanban methodologies

• Demonstrated proactivity and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
