Backend Developer, Kotlin – Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance engineering platforms that facilitate AI solutions on a large scale

• Engage with essential backend layers, BFFs, and communication hubs

• Create resilient, scalable, and secure architectures for key products

• Shape medium- and long-term architectural strategies

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, proven experience in backend development using Kotlin or Java, with frameworks like Spring Boot in high-scale settings

• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and BFFs, covering API versioning, integration patterns, resilience, scalability, and asynchronous communication

• Significant experience with automated unit, integration, and contract testing

• Comprehensive understanding of relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra

• Extensive experience with messaging and streaming systems like Kafka, SQS, and SNS in high-volume contexts

• Expertise in observability, which includes metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, and defining SLIs/SLOs

• Practical experience in Cloud environments, preferably AWS

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation

• Experience with established CI/CD pipelines

• Advanced understanding of application security, including JWT, OAuth2, encryption, and secure-by-design principles

• Experience working in agile settings with a DevOps mindset, technical ownership, and a focus on operational efficiency

• Prior experience with complex platforms, system integration, or mission-critical digital products
