Backend Developer, Java, Mid/Senior – Financial Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create scalable and secure RESTful APIs.

• Work with microservices and event-driven architectures (EDA) utilizing Kafka.

• Engage in technical decision-making and the definition of software architecture.

• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure code quality.

• Monitor and optimize application performance.

• Address incident resolution and investigate production issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend and translate business requirements.

• Document technical solutions and assist in the creation of operational runbooks.

• Contribute to best practices in development, code reviews, and foster a DevOps culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience with Java (versions 8, 11, 17, or 21).

• Proficiency in Spring Boot, including version 3.x.

• Experience in developing RESTful APIs.

• Understanding of microservices architecture.

• Experience with messaging and event-driven architecture (Kafka).

• Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).

• Experience in unit and integration testing.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration (CI/CD).

• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Good security practices for API development.

• Plus: experience with Kubernetes and Spring Cloud.

• Plus: familiarity with Consul, Jira, and monitoring tools.

• Plus: experience in large-scale projects, particularly in the financial sector.

• Plus: proactive in self-development and continuous learning of technology.
