This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and create RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to provide access to data and business services.
• Develop backend services that facilitate both real-time and batch data access.
• Ensure APIs are designed for scalability, resilience, and comprehensive documentation (OpenAPI / Swagger).
• Implement services for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Integrate with databases, data warehouses, and event streaming systems.
• Optimize data access methodologies for enhanced performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Connect backend services with third-party platforms including Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), analytics tools, CRM, CMS, and marketing solutions.
• Support identity, consent, and data governance requirements at the API level.
• Provide clean, consistent data interfaces for downstream consumers, including web, mobile, call center, and analytics teams.
• Implement best practices for authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Monitor and optimize backend services for performance and availability.
• Incorporate logging, error handling, and observability into all services.
• Collaborate with frontend, analytics, and data engineering teams on comprehensive solutions.
• Engage in architecture reviews and contribute to backend standards.
• Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Extensive experience with backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Practical experience in building and utilizing REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Practical experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), particularly with XDM schemas, data ingestion, identity/profile data, datasets, and AEP integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing practices.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Understanding of data modeling, schemas, and best practices for data quality.
