Backend Developer Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Design and implement new backend functionalities

• Conduct analysis of functional requirements

• Produce high-quality code and comprehensive documentation

• Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams

• Monitor requests, issues, work progress, and modifications using project management tools

• Provide estimates and technical documentation as needed

• Write code focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability

• Oversee project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

• Work in partnership with external collaborators when necessary

• Manage code alterations utilizing a version control system

• Conduct code reviews

• Identify bugs and deliver stable, well-crafted solutions

• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities associated with the Backend Developer position

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in a similar software development position, with a strong command of PHP

• Proven expertise in Laravel is a significant advantage

• Solid understanding of REST web services

• Awareness of the challenges involved in scalable, high-performance applications

• Proficiency in developing within Linux environments

• Capable of documenting effectively and creating test cases

• Ability to work with minimal oversight

• Experience utilizing AI tools in everyday software development processes

• Proficient in verbal and written communication skills in English
