Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Create and execute multi-file coding assignments that include bug fixes, feature enhancements, code refactoring, and testing.

• Compose clear natural-language specifications along with reference implementations.

• Build and enhance unit and integration testing suites.

• Evaluate tasks generated by peers for accuracy, clarity, and feasibility.

• Detect edge cases, ambiguities, and possible failure scenarios.

• Ensure consistency between specifications, code, and anticipated outputs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in professional software engineering.

• Advanced written proficiency in English at a professional level.

• Strong skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with Java, C#, or Go is a plus.

• Experience in backend or full-stack development within production environments.

• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Demonstrated ability to debug and work through extensive, multi-file codebases.

• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.
