Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Create and implement multi-file coding assignments that include bug fixing, feature enhancements, refactoring, and testing.

• Produce clear specifications in natural language along with reference implementations.

• Develop and enhance unit and integration test suites.

• Evaluate peer-generated tasks for accuracy, clarity, and feasibility.

• Detect edge cases, ambiguities, and possible failure scenarios.

• Ensure that specifications, code, and expected outputs are aligned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written proficiency in English at an advanced professional level.

• Between 3 to 7 years of experience in professional software engineering.

• Strong skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with Java, C#, or Go is a plus.

• Experience in backend or full-stack development within production environments.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Demonstrated capability to debug and navigate extensive, multi-file codebases.

• Experience with conducting code reviews, refactoring, and managing production migrations.
