Azure Red Hat OpenShift Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) clusters

• Design and implement scalable deployment patterns for Kubernetes using Helm

• Create reusable Helm charts to facilitate application onboarding and standardization

• Utilize ArgoCD and GitOps workflows for automated and repeatable deployments

• Configure and maintain service mesh solutions, such as Istio or Linkerd

• Write and manage Kubernetes manifests while extending operator capabilities

• Install and integrate tools within Kubernetes environments through Helm

• Collaborate with application teams to onboard workloads and enhance platform adoption

• Ensure that environments are well-architected, thoroughly tested, and production-ready

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and reliability of the platform

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in installing and configuring operators with Azure Red Hat OpenShift or OpenShift Container Platform (along with Kubernetes)

• At least 2 years of experience with Helm (a fundamental requirement for this role)

• Experience in building and managing Helm charts for complex, multi-cluster environments (including CI/CD pipelines and rapid microservices onboarding)

• Practical experience with Docker and containerization

• Familiarity with ArgoCD (a must-have)

• Experience in writing and managing Kubernetes manifests

• Capability to install, configure, and extend Kubernetes operators

• Experience with Istio or Linkerd (essential)

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation

• Proficiency in Bash scripting (Bash is essential)
