Azure Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and ongoing management of the Azure foundation that supports a multi-year municipal modernization initiative.

• Supervise the structure of the Azure environment, CI/CD standards, and the strategy for infrastructure-as-code.

• Ensure that the cloud foundation is secure, standardized, auditable, and ready for production deployment.

• Establish and oversee development, testing, and production environments with clear separations.

• Define secure networking, identity management, and role-based access controls.

• Configure VNETs, NSGs, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN / ExpressRoute).

• Design and maintain standardized CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.

• All infrastructure must be provisioned and managed through Terraform or Bicep.

• Integrate FedRAMP Moderate-aligned controls into the platform design.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.

• Strong practical experience with Azure in regulated or audit-sensitive environments.

• Experience in designing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven ownership of enterprise-scale Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives (Terraform), including governance and enforcement of IaC-only deployment standards.

• Experience in embedding compliance and security controls within cloud platforms.

• Working familiarity with FedRAMP Moderate or similar compliance frameworks.
