This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design and Implement Azure Solutions: Take charge of the architecture, deployment, and management of Azure cloud resources, which include virtual machines, networking, storage, identity solutions, and security controls.
• Cloud Migration: Strategize and carry out migration plans from on-premises systems and various cloud platforms to Azure, utilizing best practices to minimize downtime and safeguard data integrity.
• Security & Compliance: Establish robust security measures, monitor potential threats, and ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO, SOC, GDPR, and client-specific regulations.
• Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Employ tools like ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, and Azure DevOps pipelines to automate deployments and effectively manage infrastructure.
• Performance Optimization: Oversee, analyze, and fine-tune Azure resources for maximum performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve cloud-related challenges, offer technical support, and guide clients throughout their Azure experience.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation that encompasses architectures, procedures, and best practices for both internal and client use.
• Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with project managers, developers, and other engineers to provide integrated cloud solutions.
• Continuous Learning: Keep updated on the latest Azure features, industry trends, and emerging technologies; actively participate in Vamonos IT’s knowledge base and innovation efforts.
• Support internal Vamonos IT initiatives and operations as required.
• Engage in and complete continuing education and certification processes as outlined by the customer and/or Vamonos IT.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of Azure services, including VM, storage, networking, security, identity, and monitoring.
• Proficient in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
• Experience with cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud architectures.
• Solid comprehension of networking concepts (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, NSG, firewall, load balancing).
• Experience in implementing security controls and monitoring within Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Azure certification(s) such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
