Azure Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Set up and implement Azure Cloud Services using Infrastructure As Code and Automation methods.

• Partner with Software Developers to gather technical specifications and create Infrastructure as Code for deploying Azure Cloud Services in customer-oriented hosted applications.

• Engage in a collaborative team atmosphere, sharing, assessing, and critiquing code, processes, and operations.

• Create, maintain, and oversee code in Azure DevOps/GIT, utilizing Bicep, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and PowerShell.

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of DevOps, Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Convert business needs into technical solutions, ensuring security, compliance, scalability, and resilience.

• Implement security measures using Users, Groups, and Permissions, particularly from Active Directory.

• Complete tasks during maintenance windows or off-hours as necessary; serve as an escalation point for 24/7 systems.

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure, software, and system connectivity.

• Oversee and manage DataBricks, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory.

• Formulate and execute business continuity and disaster recovery strategies related to cloud services.

• Identify and implement ways to leverage Artificial Intelligence.

• Capable of training and mentoring engineers to foster a growing team.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED, Bachelor of Science (BS / B.Sc), or Bachelor of Arts (BA) is mandatory.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience with Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, Bicep, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager Templates (ARM), PowerShell, Infrastructure As Code, Agile Scrum, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation.

• Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.

• Highly driven, detail-oriented, and technically proficient engineer with the capacity to work autonomously and make informed decisions.

• A strong eagerness to learn and an innovative mindset that seeks improvement for the team, product, and organization.

• Experience in application security, cloud-based network architecture, and scripting for system administration tasks (e.g., bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Healthcare Information Systems and industry compliance and security standards such as SOC1/2, SOX, HIPAA, HiTrust, PCI DSS, and ISO27001 would be beneficial.
