Azure Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design extensive Azure architecture solutions that cover infrastructure, platform services, networking, security, and governance.

• Provide guidance to clients on optimal practices for cloud adoption, migration approaches, and hybrid cloud integration.

• Produce comprehensive architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications to aid in implementation and governance.

• Work collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery.

• Conduct architectural reviews and enforce policies to guarantee compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Keep abreast of Azure technology trends and innovations to suggest enhancements and optimizations.

• Manage the entire technical delivery process, which includes planning, building, testing, deployment, and operational handover.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering Microsoft Azure cloud solutions at an enterprise level.

• In-depth knowledge of Azure infrastructure services, PaaS offerings, security, networking, and governance.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM templates & Terraform), and automation tools.

• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and their integration with on-premises environments.

• Extensive understanding of Microsoft CAF and WAF.

• Knowledge of compliance standards pertinent to the energy, finance, or public sectors.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to a varied audience.

• Experience with identity management solutions such as Entra ID.

• Strong pre-sales abilities and a proven history of designing intricate solutions for a diverse range of clients, from mid-market to enterprise scale.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering solutions, including the development of proposals, SoWs, high-level designs, RFP responses, roadmaps, and strategies.

• Over 5 years of experience in a hands-on technical consulting/architect role on either the channel, vendor, or customer side.

• Solid background in producing high-quality documentation and solution artifacts.

• Microsoft certifications and accreditations in Azure such as AZ-305, AZ-700, and AZ-500 are essential for this role.

• Additional Microsoft certifications and accreditations in Azure such as AZ-140, AI-102, and SC-300 are desirable but not mandatory.

• Experience in designing and implementing solutions with AWS is advantageous.

• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft, ZeroTrust, NCSC, NIST, ISO27001, and Cyber Essentials frameworks and best practices, and their application to controls, policies, and configuration baselines is valuable.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies like Agile and DevOps.

• Experience planning and migrating from on-premises or Cloud to Microsoft Azure using tools like ASR, Azure Migrate, and data migration assistant, etc.

• Proficiency in PowerShell, Graph API, and automation.
