This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and sustain AWS Lambda functions that facilitate data retrieval and processing within LGY integrations.
• Develop and maintain API integrations with VA enterprise systems.
• Create and uphold data transformation and mapping logic for downstream usage in Salesforce.
• Diagnose and resolve production defects associated with Lambda execution and integration workflows.
• Oversee and assess CloudWatch logs and system metrics to detect errors and performance challenges.
• Establish error handling, retry logic, and robust processing patterns for API-driven workflows.
• Assist in AWS Step Functions orchestration for multi-step integration tasks.
• Perform root cause analysis and aid in the resolution of production incidents.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to facilitate deployments and ensure system stability.
• Confirm that solutions adhere to secure coding practices and comply with VA OIT requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, OR Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience.
• Capability to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance.
• Practical experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch, S3, and IAM.
• Proficient with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Background in developing and maintaining API-driven integration architectures across various systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for automated deployments.
• Experience utilizing logging and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and cloud security standards aligned with NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP.
• Experienced in troubleshooting distributed systems and serverless architectures.
• Possession of an AWS Certification such as AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator.
• Preferred: Current VA Public Trust Clearance.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting federal government or VA IT programs, especially in regulated or ATO-compliant environments.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Salesforce integrations and data interchange between cloud platforms.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and sprint-oriented delivery teams.
• Preferred: Experience with systems that handle sensitive or regulated data.
• Preferred: Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
