This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess the generation of S-Docs templates, including data dependencies, automation triggers, and governance controls at scale.
• Investigate Salesforce integration pathways for sending high-volume email payloads to AWS.
• Analyze AWS Lambda processing, queuing, monitoring, and secure delivery to VA Notify during peak loads.
• Review the capabilities of the VA Notify API and its status-reporting mechanisms.
• Confirm alignment with scalability, security, auditability, observability, and enterprise compliance standards.
• Document findings, architectural choices, risks, data flows, sequence diagrams, considerations, and decision logs.
• Create data models, integration components, error-handling logic, and orchestration across Salesforce, AWS, and VA Notify.
• Develop automation for S-Docs templates, email request generation, outbound callouts, inbound status processing, dashboards, and reports.
• Implement API Gateway endpoints, Lambda functions, SQS queues and DLQs, logging/monitoring pipelines, and delivery-record services.
• Conduct unit, integration, end-to-end, and high-volume load testing.
• Deploy through CI/CD processes across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.
• Complete technical documentation, runbooks, and support procedures; provide handover and training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in data engineering, systems integration, ETL development, and/or cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS including DLQ patterns, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with Salesforce integration patterns, outbound/inbound callouts, Apex, Flow automation, and S-Docs or similar document-generation tools.
• Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, VA Notify or similar notification/delivery-status APIs.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one integration/data-processing scripting or programming language, such as Python or Apex.
• Experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and high-volume load/performance testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD deployment processes across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.
• Experience with federal government contracts and familiarity with VA/federal IT environments, security requirements, and FISMA, FedRAMP, or NIST 800-53.
• Capability to produce architectural documentation including data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and decision logs.
• Ability to effectively communicate findings to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required as per VA contract regulations.
• Preferred: Salesforce and/or AWS certifications.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with S-Docs and VA Notify or similar government notification APIs.
• Preferred: experience with VA-specific systems/programs, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD tools, and distributed-system observability tools.
