This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Take ownership and enhance AWS-based environments for a specific customer account.
• Lead efforts in automation, CI/CD, and the adoption of Infrastructure as Code.
• Enhance security measures, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with customer teams, developers, and internal experts.
• Provide expert technical support for AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and more.
• Troubleshoot system, application, and network issues in accordance with SLAs.
• Monitor performance and availability of the platform utilizing CloudWatch and observability tools.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions and GitOps workflows.
• Support and operate containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Implement deployment strategies and enhance release processes.
• Automate operational tasks to boost efficiency and minimize manual involvement.
• Manage AWS environments across various accounts.
• Support contemporary AWS architectures, including Landing Zones, multi-account strategies, and Transit Gateway.
• Maintain and optimize services such as RDS/Aurora, backups, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure scalable and resilient application deployments.
• Integrate security best practices throughout infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Implement and manage security tools, including vulnerability scanning and container/image security.
• Apply principles including least privilege, encryption, and secrets management.
• Create and update runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities for automation and service enhancement.
• Extensive experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Strong understanding of containerization and Kubernetes, preferably EKS.
• Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities across cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Knowledge of AWS networking concepts, including VPC, routing, and load balancing.
• Awareness of security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and secrets management.
• Experience in customer-facing or managed services environments.
• Outstanding documentation and communication skills.
