AWS Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines.

• Work with extensive amounts of both structured and unstructured data.

• Ensure the quality, consistency, and governance of data.

• Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and data scientists.

• Engage in technical decision-making related to data architecture and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in data engineering within distributed environments.

• Proficiency in Apache Spark and Scala.

• Experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, EMR, Athena, and Redshift.

• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines.

• Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in batch and streaming data processing.

• Experience with Apache Kafka or Amazon MSK is preferred.

• Experience in modernizing legacy systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with Delta Lake, Apache Hudi, or Iceberg is preferred.

• Knowledge of data CI/CD tools and practices, such as dbt, Airflow, and Terraform, is preferred.
