This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Design and architect comprehensive AWS cloud solutions that meet business needs and align with organizational objectives.
• Assess existing infrastructure and applications to pinpoint optimization opportunities and develop cloud migration strategies.
• Create thorough technical specifications and architecture documentation for cloud deployments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation to guarantee consistency and repeatability.
• Establish and uphold cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and governance frameworks.
• Optimize cloud expenditures through resource management, reserved instances, and architectural enhancements.
• Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems across multiple AWS regions.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.
• Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and implement proactive solutions using CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
• Stay updated on AWS service enhancements, industry trends, and emerging cloud technologies.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or related fields.
• More than 3 years of practical experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of essential AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud settings.
• Experience in designing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
