This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee a portfolio of states along with the managers responsible for them.
• Hold direct P&L accountability for one or more intricate states and may take charge of launching a new state.
• Offer expert-level knowledge in products and regulations, mentoring managers on market insights, product evaluation, and filing methodology.
• Address complex, cross-functional issues across multiple states that involve significant uncertainty.
• Predict downstream effects and resolve challenges that necessitate collaboration across various business units.
• Establish direction and maintain consistency in product strategies across states.
• Influence the prioritization of both state and national insurance product initiatives, manage resource allocation, and guide financial planning through compelling business cases.
• Shape decisions at senior management levels by providing strategic insights and product direction.
• Extensive understanding of personal auto insurance products, including coverage, underwriting, operations, pricing, and the insurance regulatory framework.
• Proven experience in developing and executing innovative and effective solutions to highly complex business challenges.
• Skilled in managing relationships with senior management and technical roles.
• Demonstrated success in overseeing insurance product performance, including management of one or more complex states.
• Experience in supervising, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Proficient in employing quantitative methods to produce thorough business analyses with a keen eye for detail, identifying anomalies, drawing conclusions, and articulating findings.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication, cross-collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects at once.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in analyzing data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes.
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks necessary to reach objectives.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
• **Work Experience**
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in analysis and/or managing insurance performance, including product management, actuarial, and underwriting required.
• 5-7 years of experience leading direct reports or matrixed project teams required.
• **Education**
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• **Licenses and Certifications**
• Certifications such as FCAS/ACAS or CPCU are advantageous.
