AVP, Cybersecurity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Implement the cybersecurity AI strategy by prioritizing and delivering production-ready agentic AI functionalities.

• Define the framework, progression, and operational model for production agentic AI features.

• Oversee essential AI solution initiatives across threat detection, investigations, incident response, threat hunting, and offensive security operations.

• Create multi-agent workflows, integrate tools, and establish human-in-the-loop control points.

• Develop and sustain evaluation harnesses, regression testing, and observability for non-deterministic AI systems.

• Examine analyst and operator workflows to pinpoint AI-driven enhancements in efficiency, productivity, and security posture.

• Set technical standards for agent design, assessment, observability, regression testing, and reliability.

• Design and deliver agents, prompting strategies, skills, and agentic workflows.

• Produce production-grade Python code and integrate with modern LLM provider APIs and orchestration frameworks.

• Impact cross-functional decisions regarding AI orchestration, LLM providers, Amazon Bedrock, and secure solution architecture.

• Advocate for responsible and compliant AI usage alongside Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams.

• Direct approved strategy decisions and aid in strategy development.

• Offer strategic guidance to enhance and build capabilities.

• Stay updated on current and emerging developments and weave relevant trends into strategies.

• Support organizational initiatives, change management, and enterprise projects.

• Provide subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Identify and guide strategic process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience can substitute for a Bachelor's degree).

• 2+ years of relevant experience, including proven hands-on delivery of production AI/agentic systems (not prototypes) using orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent.

• Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, solutions architecture, software engineering, security operations, or related technology fields.

• Proficient in production-quality Python.

• Experience with modern LLM provider APIs and orchestration frameworks.

• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks.

• Understanding of Amazon Bedrock capabilities.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity use cases, LLM orchestration, agentic AI frameworks, and emerging enterprise AI practices.

• Awareness of NYDFS, GLBA, and SOX obligations.

• Capability to work from an approved location within the United States.
