This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Ensure the seamless and timely execution of Synchrony email marketing campaigns.
• Oversee campaign setup, approval of email templates, selection and segmentation of lists, and deployment of marketing campaigns, focusing particularly on email while also learning and implementing new channels.
• Investigate and assess AI tools and features to enhance campaign processes, improve targeting and personalization, and drive operational efficiencies.
• Influence and support the standards of channel execution processes (e.g., timelines, template design, data collection, and refinement) across Synchrony's marketing operations.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues in Performance Marketing to address complex channel requests and troubleshoot issues (e.g., onboarding new clients, launching new offers/products, managing escalated requests concerning timelines or complexity).
• Lead the transformation of channel execution to be more flexible and agile, delivering expedited cross-channel campaign solutions for all portfolios.
• Serve as the Scrum Master for the Pod; coordinate stand-up meetings, allocate tasks, train Pod members on portfolio specifics, and ensure all tasks are completed.
• Manage, train, and mentor team members to improve competency in multi-channel execution, facilitate career development, and enhance performance.
• Act as a subject matter expert on advanced email skills (e.g., data management, execution processes, platforms, suppliers/agencies).
• Oversee file selection and segmentation for Synchrony channel marketing campaigns, ensuring accurate execution of “file only” requests.
• Work closely with client marketers to optimize design, creative, and segmentation strategies to enhance email touchpoints, assisting clients throughout the agency creative process and legal approval.
• Review high-complexity and/or flagged campaigns, including validating campaign requirements.
• Provide campaign performance metrics to client teams and account managers for ongoing campaign enhancement.
• Explore, develop, and advocate for pilot strategies aimed at next-generation channel optimization.
• Ensure all campaigns adhere to necessary documentation requirements.
• Promote the advancement and adoption of responsive design for mobile optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services sector or in Marketing/Digital roles; or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, specifically in building and deploying commercial emails using Agile methodology.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with the enterprise email service platform: Zeta (including Athena, Workflow Automation, Channel path optimization, Experience Builder, Propensity & Moment scoring, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience collaborating with US stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as COSMOS Workfront, MRM, Jira, or ProofHub.
• Strong project management abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong change management skills; adept at effective communication and managing "crucial conversations" with clients and internal partners.
