This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the comprehensive Casualty claims program and establish standards for handling complex claims.
• Lead a high-achieving team, acting as a trusted authority on intricate cases.
• Collaborate across departments to enhance processes, policies, and outcomes.
• Define and communicate standards for Casualty loss management across all areas.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Casualty claims and coverage, offering guidance on complicated scenarios.
• Work with Compliance and Audit teams to assess findings and devise actionable solutions.
• Represent the organization in depositions and trials concerning Casualty claims.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Actuarial, Risk Control, and Underwriting.
• Utilize data and analytics to track trends and implement strategies that improve team performance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of ten years in casualty claims, with progressively responsible positions, including large loss claims.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience is required.
• Preferred insurance designations include AIC, CIC, AIM, and CPCU.
• Extensive understanding of the theory and practice related to casualty claim functions.
• Advanced analytical skills and proven good judgment concerning Casualty loss and coverage.
• In-depth knowledge of Casualty insurance contracts, medical terminology, as well as policy conditions and court procedures related to liability, damages, or coverage disputes.
• Strong proficiency in computer systems and claims software.
• Exceptional organizational skills along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Occasional travel is required; a valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record is necessary if driving.
