Avionics Systems Verification & Validation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop, oversee, and validate requirements at the aircraft, system, and component levels, ensuring bidirectional traceability and compliance with regulatory and certification standards.

• Implement SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761 methodologies to facilitate safety assessments (FHA, FTA, FMEA) and certification strategies under Part 23/27/33.

• Create, execute, and maintain verification plans, procedures, and test reports, while coordinating lab, integration, and system-level testing for systems such as vibrations, airframe, fuselage, interiors, environmental control systems, and electric engines.

• Conduct system behavior modeling and assist with test automation and data analysis to guarantee adherence to certification timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or a relevant technical military background with equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience working on Part 23 or 27 aircraft or rotorcraft programs.

• In-depth knowledge of SAE ARP4754A, ARP4761, FAA Order 8110.4C, RTCA DO-160G, DO-331, DO-178C.

• Proven experience with ARP4754A-based verification, requirements-based testing, and traceability audits.

• Proficient in ALM and verification tools such as Polarion, JIRA, and Confluence.

• Familiarity with solid modeling software (Onshape, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).

• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, certification-oriented environment.
