AV Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional partners and third-party vendors from the initial project planning phase through execution and post-deployment review.

• Manage task prioritization for Deployment Coordinators while assisting the Deployment Engineering team with non-standard deployments.

• Oversee projects through the design, procurement, deployment, and commissioning of shared and collaborative IT equipment in technology office builds, encompassing areas such as Video Conferencing (VC), event production spaces, digital signage, broadcast studios, and more.

• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders regarding the deployment project, actively communicating any technical issues and risks, while minimizing their impact using Asana. Deliver weekly project status reports.

• Apply client standards in determining design specifications, bills of materials, and drawings for new and remodeled offices, collaborating effectively with design engineers and cross-functional partners.

• Engage with third-party vendors for hardware procurement, scheduling, and system integration, ensuring vendors are accountable for proper installation and adherence to contracts, including schedule commitments and delivering a complete product.

• Conduct regular site visits throughout the project lifecycle.

• Execute testing and commissioning handovers with third-party vendors.

• Perform light drafting tasks in AutoCAD, marking up drawings to communicate design intent to other trades.

• Participate in Bluebeam sessions during design reviews to approve drawings, documentation, RFI’s, etc.

• Be prepared to travel up to 30% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of project management experience in a technical field (AV/VC, Networking, Infrastructure, IT Construction, etc.).

• Familiarity with construction drawings and schematics, with an understanding of the functionality and infrastructure requirements for building and servicing client spaces while considering future-proofing.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees, clients, and colleagues across various platforms, including but not limited to Workplace Chat, Cisco Webex, email, and task management.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues, effectively removing obstacles for installation crews and construction teams.

• Capability to understand and manage project budgets, adhering to strict financial guidelines.

• Experience in effectively managing multiple projects across different cities and regions.

• Excellent time management skills with a keen attention to detail, proactively identifying roadblocks and determining next steps.

• Knowledge of AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques.

• Proficient in AutoCAD at a beginner to intermediate level, capable of navigating, marking up basic drawings, and adding templates for RCPs, Elevations, and floor plans.

• Intermediate proficiency in Bluebeam Revu Sessions.

• Experience using project management software within an enterprise organization.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
