Automotive Lift Safety Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with designated customers to enhance shop safety and ensure customer compliance.

• Train alongside the Lift Safety Team to achieve ALI Certified Lift Inspector status.

• Coordinate all varieties of inspections with the Lift Safety management team.

• Arrange and schedule travel for inspection assignments.

• Arrive at customer sites ready to commence inspections at the appointed time.

• Execute and document inspections assigned at customer locations.

• Maintain communication with the Lift Safety Program Coordinator and Operations Manager during the inspection process.

• Clearly articulate and document specific action items for comprehensive goal-accomplishment plans.

• Review and instruct customer personnel on corporate Best Practices.

• Foster a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established procedures and policies.

• Present inspection findings to customer management, regional teams, and project management teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of previous experience in installation, inspection, or field service work for automotive lift product users, manufacturers, distributors, or service organizations.

• Relevant qualifying technical experience may encompass military technical MOS, AFSC, or NEC designation; crane, elevator, or forklift inspection; emissions inspection; mechanical surveying; relevant millwright work; maritime engineering; or oil rig operation/roughneck work.

• A college degree in business, automotive management, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Valid US Driver’s License and capability to operate a motor vehicle.

• Meet prerequisites for and possess the ability to obtain ALI Certified Inspector Status.

• Effective communication skills with customer management and technical personnel.

• Ability to organize and present findings to customer management, regional teams, and project management teams.

• Competence to multitask, prioritize, and adhere to deadlines.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Professional and ethical behavior.

• Dependable and trustworthy team player.

• Capability to operate in diverse client locations, environments, and conditions.

• Availability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, traverse long distances and rough or uneven terrain, and navigate through client facilities.

• Proficiency in moving between work locations and performing repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions.

• Capability to lift, adjust, or move tools, supplies, or materials weighing up to 50 lbs in all directions.

• Ability to work in various body positions and in tight or confined spaces.

• Willingness and ability to remain seated and stationary for prolonged periods when necessary.

• Openness to domestic travel, estimated up to 75%.
