This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +1 more state.
• Engage in industry-related events and participate in customer meetings.
• Write three articles or blogs, each containing 1,000 words, focused on topics related to cybersecurity.
• Automate the processes of compliance audits.
• Address and respond to various security incidents.
• Integrate security technologies across different tools and platforms.
• Design and implement secure infrastructure to enhance security operations and compliance management capabilities.
• Currently active in the United States military.
• Eligible for participation in the SkillBridge program.
• Pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with essential information security functions, including network and application vulnerability assessments, role-based access control (RBAC), security information and event management, and/or computer incident management.
• Skilled in systems/security engineering and networking.
• A minimum of two years of experience in information technology.
• Knowledge of three or more security technologies, including Debian or Fedora-based operating systems, familiarity with Git, software development life cycle (SDLC), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CICD) processes, proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell), network engineering, managing and utilizing REST-based APIs, and analyzing security and system logs from various sources.
• Cybersecurity interns will receive a laptop computer, docking station, monitors, keyboard and mouse, camera, and headset for remote work.
• Most hands-on training and instruction will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
• Opportunities for on-site interaction may also be available.
