Automation Test Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain automated test scripts aimed at enhancing coverage, minimizing manual efforts, and ensuring consistent and repeatable validation of product functionality.

• Lead integrated testing efforts encompassing unit, functional, Section 508 accessibility, system, reliability, usability, interoperability, regression, security, and performance/load testing.

• Create and maintain comprehensive Test Plans while providing a thorough Test Strategy.

• Update and manage the Requirements Traceability Matrix to ensure bi-directional traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and releases, ensuring full compliance with the RTM.

• Oversee the defect lifecycle management.

• Execute security scanning with approved tools, including static code analysis and dependency/vulnerability scanning; address vulnerabilities based on severity timelines.

• Assist in enterprise and compliance testing activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of experience in software testing.

• At least 3 years dedicated to test automation within federal IT environments.

• Proficient in Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Postman, JUnit/NUnit.

• Experience with CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with Fortify, OWASP ZAP, or other equivalent approved security testing tools.

• Background in Section 508 accessibility testing and compliance.

• Knowledgeable in performance and load testing methodologies and tools.

• Proficient in enterprise quality management tools and RTM compliance.

• Familiarity with Jira and GitHub for test management and traceability.

• Understanding of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 security controls as they pertain to testing and ATO compliance.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

• Preferred certifications include ISTQB Agile Tester, SAFe Agilist or Certified Scrum Master, and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
