This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with industrial clients to gather operational requirements and design control system architecture.
• Create estimates for comprehensive integration solutions, including engineering, control panels, HMI configuration, PLC programming, field installation, and commissioning.
• Evaluate proposal specifications and drawings for estimates related to industrial electrical projects.
• Estimate costs for new construction and retrofit upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to modernize outdated industrial infrastructure and enhance reliability.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits for take-offs.
• Prepare project take-offs, submittals, and proposals.
• Request vendor quotes for equipment and materials, such as PLC and HMI hardware/software.
• Ensure timely completion of client-required documentation.
• Draft inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimate scopes.
• Recognize and fulfill customer needs and requirements.
• Maintain backup files for estimates and supplier pricing information.
• Assist other department personnel and provide support with estimates in different disciplines.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• At least 5 years of experience in the industrial electrical sector.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Journeyman Electrician license is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
• Functional familiarity with PLC platforms and industrial networks.
• Capability to specify complete PLC/HMI hardware and software solutions from limited customer inputs.
• A background in automation and controls, including PLCs, instrumentation, valves, and control panels is advantageous.
• Knowledge of NECA rates and structures.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA-70E.
• Understanding of material quoting, RFQs, and vendor relationships.
• Ability to address or escalate conflicts in specifications and inaccuracies in drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical raceways, including cable tray, EMT, rigid, IMC, and plastibond.
• Proficient in reading electrical and automation construction drawings, wiring details, P&IDs, layout drawings, panel drawings, and BOMs.
• Ability to interpret complex construction specifications related to electrical, automation, and control work.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam.
• Advanced or expert proficiency with Accubid, including databases, projects, custom assemblies, labor rates, difficulty modifiers, and LiveCount.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, owners, and specialty equipment suppliers.
• Capability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently, proactively, and effectively as a team player in a remote setting.
