Automation Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Carry out tasks safely and efficiently at customer locations, complying with all local and site-specific regulations.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automation systems.

• Oversee Work Orders, assets, and inventory at client locations.

• Assess the performance of automated systems and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and best practices.

• Identify and engage potential suppliers for equipment and/or materials.

• Leverage technical and reference manuals to facilitate accurate diagnostics and repairs.

• Create and maintain a knowledge base of issues and solutions for prompt reference and incident response.

• Use hand and power tools as necessary.

• Compile field service reports detailing work completed, parts utilized, and suggestions for improvement.

• Travel as needed to assist customers at various sites.

• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, leadership, subcontractors, and clients at all levels.

• Undertake additional responsibilities to support company objectives and strategic goals.

• Assist in the development of training programs, materials, and other documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• At least 1 year of experience in the maintenance or repair of material handling automation systems.

• Experience collaborating with vendors to devise and implement maintenance strategies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

• Self-driven with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Customer-oriented approach.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended durations.
