This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and manage automated solutions that enhance IT and business processes, minimize manual tasks, and promote the use of AI and agentic workflows.
• Recognize, design, and execute automation for repetitive IT and business tasks.
• Construct and sustain Python and PowerShell scripts and workflows for infrastructure management, data transfer, reporting, and operational functions.
• Develop and oversee RPA workflows.
• Integrate automation with Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party SaaS applications through the use of APIs and connectors.
• Document automation designs, dependencies, failure modes, runbooks, architecture diagrams, user manuals, and compliance evidence.
• Assess and adopt AI-driven automation tools, agentic frameworks, and large language model integrations.
• Design and implement agentic workflows utilizing LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or comparable frameworks.
• Incorporate AI capabilities into operational workflows and collaborate with stakeholders on production-ready AI automation.
• Evaluate and suggest AI tools, platforms, and vendors to ensure security and compliance alignment.
• Design and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or similar platforms.
• Develop API integrations and event-driven automation pipelines across cloud and on-premises systems.
• Implement error handling, retry mechanisms, alerting, observability, and self-healing for automated workflows.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Create self-service automation tools for non-engineers.
• Provide automation support across Azure Government and AWS GovCloud.
• Monitor the health of automation, logs, and failure rates; conduct root-cause analysis and implement lasting solutions.
• Enhance automation for efficiency, dependability, and maintainability.
• Act as the automation subject matter expert within the Data & Analytics Division.
• Collaborate with IT, data, cybersecurity, and business operations teams to prioritize automation initiatives.
• Engage in sprint planning, architecture reviews, and cross-functional working groups.
• Mentor team members on automation strategies, scripting best practices, and AI tool adoption.
• Proficient in Python for scripting, automation, API integrations, and AI/ML libraries (required).
• Proficient in PowerShell for infrastructure automation, Microsoft ecosystem scripting, and task scheduling (required).
• Experience with Bash/shell scripting for Linux and cross-platform automation tasks.
• Skilled in REST API development and consumption, including JSON, OAuth, and webhook integrations.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, OpenAI API, Anthropic API, or Hugging Face.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, tool use/function calling, multi-agent coordination, and memory/state management.
• Knowledge of vector databases, embedding models, and LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Power Platform, and RPA tools.
• Proficient in Terraform and AWS CloudFormation (required); Ansible preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (AKS); familiarity with Git branching, access management, and code review processes.
• Knowledge of Azure Government/Microsoft 365 and AWS GovCloud services.
• Experience with identity and access integrations, including Entra ID, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, and SAML.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field strongly preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience combined with certifications.
• Over 12 years of experience in automation engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in constructing and managing production-grade automation solutions at an enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience in designing or deploying AI-powered or agentic workflows in a professional context.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments is preferred.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR/EAR: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
• Must be eligible to obtain the necessary export authorizations.
• Availability for occasional after-hours deployment windows and incident response.
• Must adhere to applicable data handling and export control policies.
