This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Transform enterprise IT operations for a federal client utilizing automation, orchestration, and machine-assisted intelligence.
• Develop and sustain Infrastructure as Code leveraging Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation/ARM.
• Create and implement Robotic Process Automation workflows.
• Install and optimize AIOps and observability platforms to link events, identify anomalies, and initiate auto-remediation.
• Automate tasks across AWS, Azure, and on-premises settings.
• Develop reusable scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Incorporate automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps toolchains.
• Provide 24x7 operational support through monitoring, orchestration, and backup/recovery tools.
• Manage patches, hardening, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and security updates.
• Document automation processes and monitor improvements in error reduction and efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, networking, and development teams to minimize manual tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency in RPA, orchestration, and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Cloud expertise in AWS and/or Azure along with hybrid on-premises environments.
• Familiar with monitoring, observability, or AIOps platforms.
• Understanding of ITIL service management, change management, patch management, and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of FISMA, NIST 800-53, or FedRAMP, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Acceptable outcomes from a background investigation.
• Certifications such as AWS/Azure Associate-or-above, Terraform Associate, or ITIL 4 are considered advantageous.
• Previous federal or DHS experience is regarded as a plus.
