This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Monitor and request all authorizations for private insurance.
• Implement changes to enhance the authorization process and foster relationships with providers under the guidance of the Billing Manager.
• Provide accurate information about authorizations to staff members.
• Reduce the number of denied authorizations.
• Schedule authorizations promptly upon receipt.
• Input staff schedules for private pay clients on a weekly basis.
• Confirm insurance eligibility for clients monthly.
• Report on unauthorized visits each month.
• Follow the established work schedule and maintain a good record of punctuality and attendance.
• Comply with the dress code.
• Carry out any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
• Preferred experience in insurance, including running and reading eligibility and requesting authorizations.
• HCHB experience is a plus.
• Required experience in home health and hospice care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or a general medical background is essential.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Must be reliable, tactful, and able to follow instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple deadlines effectively.
• Advanced computer skills are required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word is mandatory.
