Auditor, Raw Material

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and confirm audit schedules with clients

• Prepare and dispatch client audit plans in accordance with established protocols

• Arrange travel, accommodation, and transportation following company guidelines

• File expense reports

• Perform on-site and remote audits of slaughterhouses, packing plants, and associated beef supply-chain entities across Central and South America, mainly in Brazil

• Assess facility operations

• Review food safety and quality management systems

• Evaluate traceability and record-keeping procedures

• Conduct audits utilizing relevant checklists, forms, and tools

• Foster positive client relationships and address client inquiries and concerns

• Deliver complete and precise audit reports within set deadlines

• Maintain comprehensive client records

• Participate in training sessions and keep qualification and training documentation updated

• Stay informed about beef supply-chain regulations and food safety and quality management standards

• Prepare clients for audits by sending necessary paperwork

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Portuguese and English is mandatory

• Spanish language skills are highly preferred

• Willingness and capability to work in livestock and slaughterhouse settings

• Readiness to travel extensively throughout Central and South America, primarily focusing on Brazil

• Experience in conducting audits, inspections, assessments, or certification activities in the meat, livestock, food processing, or agricultural industries

• Knowledge of third-party verification, certification, or compliance assessment procedures

• Excellent communication, interviewing, and client relationship management abilities

• Strong organizational, time management, and report-writing skills

• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and database or audit management systems

• Capability to prepare clear, accurate, and timely audit reports in English

• Valid driver's license and the ability to secure and maintain necessary travel documentation

• Willingness to travel within and possibly outside Brazil

• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone

• Capability to travel to audit locations by plane and car

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Capacity to work in beef slaughterhouses, processing facilities, packing plants, farms, livestock operations, distribution, storage, cold-chain, and active food processing environments

• Ability to utilize required personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, hairnets, and protective clothing
