Audit Data & Analytics Innovation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead the creation and execution of Sumer’s comprehensive audit data and innovation strategy.

• Determine how standardized audit data can be utilized to enhance audit quality, insights, and operational performance.

• Facilitate integrated and automated monitoring of KPIs by designing the integration of current dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., audit quality indicators and adoption metrics) to track usage.

• Collaborate with the broader audit quality team to ensure that automation training aligns with the evolving requirements of our auditors.

• Identify and develop tools and solutions that provide significant value, while managing and prioritizing a backlog to maximize benefits.

• Promote continuous improvement through automation, aiding teams in reducing manual tasks, enhancing consistency, and concentrating on areas requiring professional judgment.

• Spearhead pilots and the deployment of AI and automation solutions, including low-code tools and workflow automation platforms.

• Foster a culture of innovation within Sumer by implementing initiatives that engage our auditors in the transformation journey.

• Collaborate closely with IT and audit teams to design and implement integrations across audit systems and tools that facilitate automation.

• Develop and utilize API-driven solutions to enhance data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

• Establish and test new data connections and workflows, guiding innovative solutions through review and implementation.

• Assist in the creation of governance frameworks for AI and automation in audit, ensuring compliance with policy, regulations, and best practices.

• Apply judgment to ensure that implemented solutions effectively manage risk and traceability based on the output.

• Convert innovation concepts into scalable solutions integrated into everyday audit workflows.

• Engage and influence stakeholders across audit, IT, and leadership to foster adoption and ensure successful delivery.

• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improving audit quality and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A curious and innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

• ACA (or equivalent) qualification, or relevant experience in audit, data, or transformation roles.

• Experience in audit data analytics, audit technology, or business transformation.

• Proven expertise in working with APIs and data integration.

• Strong comprehension of accounting and audit data structures.

• Experience with data and analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or audit analytics platforms.

• Familiarity with AI tools and practical understanding of AI applications in audit.

• Conceptual grasp of prompt engineering and the workings of LLMs.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and influencing.

• Ability to translate strategy into practical, scalable execution.
