This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Keep abreast of developments from the FASB, AICPA, PCAOB, SEC, and other regulatory organizations.
• Recognize emerging trends, challenges, and educational requirements within the accounting field.
• Assess market opportunities and suggest new courses or improvements to the current curriculum.
• Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to guarantee that our content remains timely, relevant, and competitive.
• Design, develop, and refresh CPE courses covering U.S. GAAP, Auditing Standards (GAAS), SSARS, SEC Developments, Ethics, and other essential accounting and auditing topics.
• Produce engaging educational materials such as presentation decks, course manuals and chapters, knowledge checks and assessment questions, technical articles, and content summaries.
• Ensure all educational content adheres to NASBA and applicable CPE standards.
• Provide technical expertise on intricate accounting and auditing issues.
• Work with internal teams to respond to customer inquiries and support educational initiatives.
• Contribute technical articles, blogs, and thought leadership content.
• Assist in strategic initiatives that enhance the value and reach of Surgent's curriculum.
• Depending on experience and interest, deliver CPE courses in webinar, live, or self-study formats, interact directly with accounting professionals during training sessions, and act as a primary resource for technical questions from participants.
• Hold an active CPA license.
• Possess strong technical accounting knowledge, including U.S. GAAP and auditing standards.
• Have experience in researching and interpreting complex accounting guidance.
• Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for professional audiences.
