This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +7 more states.
• Travel to auction sites two to three days a week to facilitate vehicle sales on behalf of CULA.
• Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring compliance with company standards and identifying necessary corrective measures.
• Negotiate vehicle sales directly with dealers.
• Manage consignment agreements with vehicle dealers.
• Oversee inventory management, including monitoring transport status, reviewing certification inspections, approving vehicle grading and reconditioning estimates, preparing for sales, and approving bids.
• Conduct on-site assessments of auction processes, inventory readiness, and sales effectiveness.
• Organize and lead vendor performance meetings with auction management and staff.
• Review vendor scorecards and reports, coordinating follow-up actions on any performance issues.
• Negotiate arbitration claims in partnership with senior management.
• Identify and capitalize on market arbitrage opportunities.
• Audit auction expenses and vehicle announcements.
• Maintain and report travel-related expenses in accordance with company policies.
• Proven experience with vehicle valuation, reconditioning assessments, and wholesale remarketing channels.
• Understanding of automotive market trends, seasonality, and dynamics of used vehicle pricing.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient PC and system navigation skills.
• Familiarity with NAAA auction policies is strongly preferred.
• Experience in frame assessment or condition report writing is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive remarketing or a related industry is required.
