This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ The Athletic Trainer, under the guidance of the Director of Sports Medicine, is tasked with overseeing various functions that support The Physicians Centre Hospital (TPCH) and BVPA.
β’ Responsibilities encompass marketing and outreach initiatives, cultivating relationships with local athletic program directors and coaches; serving as the primary contact for athletes; managing a Saturday morning clinic; being present at Friday night games; and fostering physician relations and coordinating services.
β’ Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
β’ Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance while upholding the confidentiality of patients, colleagues, and The Physicians Centre Hospital as appropriate.
β’ Must perform effectively under pressure and in circumstances that require patience and tact while delivering exceptional service.
β’ The role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling 500 pounds with assistance.
β’ The position is high-demand, requiring prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and standing while on duty.
β’ Essential visual and auditory acuity, along with manual dexterity, are necessary for executing assigned tasks; optimal auditory acuity is required, and proficiency in handling equipment and computers is crucial. The work environment is clean, organized, and well-lit.
β’ Candidates may encounter stressful situations, and work hours can be irregular or unexpectedly extended.
β’ Must demonstrate eligibility for employment within the United States.
β’ Texas Licensed Athletic Trainer is required.
β’ CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
β’ Ability to effectively relate and collaborate with others is essential.
β’ Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary for the safe and effective use of chemicals, cleaning agents, and safety protocols.
β’ Willingness to engage in goal-setting and educational activities to foster personal growth and advancement.
β’ Strong verbal communication skills in English are essential for interacting with vendors, corporate staff, and colleagues.
