Assurance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Suriname.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and sustain effective working relationships with client personnel while evaluating client satisfaction.

• Maintain proactive communication with the client throughout the year.

• Oversee daily fieldwork, update supervisors on engagement status, and manage staff performance effectively.

• Tailor the audit approach to adapt to the evolving client environment.

• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of intricate accounting and auditing principles and apply them to client scenarios.

• Foster the development of team members through effective task delegation and guidance to senior staff.

• Offer performance feedback, conduct training sessions, and carry out performance evaluations.

• Encourage an efficient, innovative, and collaborative work atmosphere.

• Contribute ideas and perspectives to audit teams while actively listening and responding to the views of other team members.

• Leverage technology to continuously learn, share knowledge with colleagues, and improve service delivery.

• Implement an educational program to consistently enhance skills.

• Gain insights into EY's service lines and proactively encourage team members to contribute ideas and identify opportunities to leverage the firm’s services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting along with an accounting designation, such as RA, CPA, AA, ACCA, etc.

• At least 5 years of auditing experience in a public accounting firm or specific business/industry experience to meet specialized needs.

• Exceptional project management abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in both written and verbal communication.

• A commitment to teamwork and leadership.

• Strong integrity within a professional setting.

• Fluent in English, with a preference for proficiency in Dutch.
