Associate, Vulnerability Assessment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute, review, or evaluate the implementation of vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Nexpose, Prisma Cloud, Burp, etc.

• Offer recommendations for addressing host-based and web application vulnerabilities.

• Carry out manual validation processes to ensure the resolution of vulnerabilities.

• Examine raw scan data to generate reports that detail credential success, inventory validation, and existing vulnerabilities.

• Conduct analyses to confirm justifications provided by clients concerning vendor dependencies, false positives, operational necessities, and risk modifications.

• Work collaboratively with other Coalfire team members to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure the prompt delivery of vulnerability scan results, analysis findings, and validated justifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fewer than 2 years of experience in vulnerability assessment.

• Prior experience with a prominent vulnerability scanning tool such as Tenable, Qualys, Nexpose, Prisma Cloud, Burp, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Familiarity with policies, procedures, development, and execution of vulnerability identification, scanning, analysis, remediation strategies, and reporting within an organization.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of industry best practices in vulnerability management.

• Proficiency in Security Frameworks (ISO, NIST, COBIT, HIPAA/HITECH, etc.) and regulatory standards.

• Certifications such as Security+, CCSK, AWS Cloud Practitioner, SSCP, GSEC, CEH, Cloud+, SC-900, ISC² CC, AZ‑900, Cloud Essentials+, or GCP are preferred.
