This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage consistently with the UX team and project stakeholders.
• Take part in discovery sessions.
• Understand customer requirements and market dynamics through direct interaction and market analysis.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing the design system through collaborative feedback.
• Work alongside user researchers on interviews, surveys, shadowing, and analyzing usage data.
• Convey ideas via storyboards, workflows, mockups, wireframes, and both static and functional prototypes.
• Promote and implement user-centered design principles and best practices in product development.
• Contribute to design reviews, articulating design concepts and decisions to product/development teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Consistently utilize established design system components and patterns while providing feedback on usability, efficiency, and consistency.
• Gain insights into the insurance industry's business requirements by market.
• Remain updated on industry trends and best practices relevant to the role.
• Candidates in the early stages of their UX careers and those transitioning from other fields are encouraged to apply.
• A strong portfolio, relevant coursework, internships, projects, or demonstrable understanding of the industry is valued; minimal to no shipped work is acceptable.
• Proficient in one area and capable in at least two of the following: design workshops, storytelling, information architecture, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and research/usability.
• User-centered mindset.
• Experience collaborating with UX team members.
• Awareness of emerging AI/ML product design.
• Strong problem-solving skills in complex B2B environments.
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, including time management, planning, and prioritization.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks or priorities effectively.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience is considered.
• Proficient in Figma or similar vector/UI design tools.
• Experience with prototyping, wireframing, and workflow design tools.
• Familiarity with standard office applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of remote collaboration tools such as video conferencing and whiteboarding.
• Willingness to explore emerging technologies.
• Completion of Insurity Academy certifications after hire: Introduction to Insurance, Types of Insurance, Lifecycle of an Insurance Policy, and Insurance Entities.
• Travel expectation of 0–10%.
