Associate User Experience Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design user-centered and visually engaging experiences that enhance product usability and effectiveness while aligning with business objectives.

• Convert insights from user research into well-considered, high-quality solutions.

• Develop wireframes, refined visual designs, interactive prototypes, user flows, and reusable design system components.

• Communicate design goals and outcomes with stakeholders to cultivate a shared vision.

• Collaborate with UX, research, product, and engineering teams.

• Integrate experiences across various platforms to create a cohesive brand narrative.

• Innovate and design unique user experiences.

• Gain an in-depth understanding of Availity’s products and services.

• Convey an experience vision that delivers immediate value while evolving over the long term.

• Create user flows and wireframes based on research insights.

• Champion accessibility and motivate product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Web Design, Graphic Design, New Media, Interactive Digital Media, or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• More than two years of experience in designing digital products.

• Proven proficiency in visual design and UX processes.

• A portfolio link is required, demonstrating user experience designs and contributions to product development and engineering teams.

• Portfolio must showcase high-quality visual design, high-fidelity design work, visual exploration, and conceptual work.

• Strong knowledge of Figma.

• Strong understanding of accessibility/508 Compliance.

• Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across various disciplines.

• Experience directly engaging with users to gather insights, validate concepts, and test designs or hypotheses.

• Ability to work independently and manage prioritization of tasks from multiple sources.

• Strong questioning and note-taking skills.

• Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.

• User empathy and a natural curiosity.

• Learning agility and the ability to quickly synthesize large volumes of information.

• Experience with behavioral analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Pendo is a plus.

• Experience in writing, recruiting, and conducting usability studies, as well as analyzing and synthesizing results is a plus.

• Experience in the healthcare technology sector is an advantage.

• Preference for candidates in Eastern/Central Time Zones.

• Must be capable of using a camera for all virtual meetings.
