Associate Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Inputs new applications and conducts underwriting analysis.

• Provides quotes and binds accounts in alignment with their Letter of Authority.

• Submits Monthly self-audit reports.

• Manages cancellations and reinstatements.

• Addresses inquiries and requests from agents and policyholders alike.

• Issues policy endorsements as necessary.

• Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3-5 years of experience in insurance.

• Desired experience in underwriting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

• Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.

• Operates effectively in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality customer service.

• Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality.

• Adheres to instructions and responds to management guidance.

• Capable of meeting designated deadlines and committing to extended hours when necessary to achieve goals.

• Able to work independently on assigned tasks while also accepting direction on given assignments.

• Possesses the ability to multi-task and demonstrates strong organizational skills.

• Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capable of resolving practical problems and interpreting a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

• Handles records and documents of a sensitive and confidential nature with care.

• Strong administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
