This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Enhance patient outcomes by educating and applying the most recent clinical best practices while collaborating with healthcare professionals, particularly in the operating room and intensive care unit.
• Visit significant healthcare facilities where patients have been treated using the Impella pump portfolio to gather clinically pertinent data.
• Provide proctoring and support for procedures at new surgical sites as well as for complex cases at established sites.
• Conduct After Action Reviews (AAR) with physicians post-procedure and communicate the findings.
• Responsible for ongoing training at key European locations.
• Facilitate and encourage the growth and success of our surgical business.
• Coordinate and oversee activities with the SAM, franchise team (TM/CC), training department, Medical Office, and manage customer education for both new and existing accounts to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
• Support Abiomed’s mission to make heart recovery the new standard of care.
• Represent the organization at surgical conferences throughout the EMEA region.
• Successfully completed clinical or clinically-technical training, preferably as a nurse or as a cardiac technologist/clinical perfusionist.
• Proven experience in direct patient care in the OR with cardiac surgery and/or with surgical medical devices related to heart failure and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) as a perfusionist, ICU nurse, or OR nurse.
• Extensive experience in business support involving products and technologies in the cardiovascular sector, including mechanical circulatory support.
• Strong understanding of cardiac surgery, perfusion medicine, mechanical circulatory support, intensive care units, and structural heart disease.
• Fluent in German with advanced English proficiency.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel: must be able to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory.
• Annual bonus with a predetermined target (% of pay) based on pay grade/location; the actual amount is contingent on employee and company performance in the prior calendar year, or sales commissions.
