This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Client Relationship Development: Enhance the scope and depth of relationships by collaborating closely with clients to deeply understand their business strategies, needs, and challenges, as well as how Zelis supports the achievement of those objectives.
• Revenue Oversight: Oversee and manage revenue goals, including budgets, forecasts, and product utilization assessments for the assigned portfolio.
• Client Renewals & Retention: Accountable for client renewals and retention. Successfully facilitate contract negotiations with leadership and manage the entire lifecycle of renewing client agreements while identifying opportunities to expand partnerships.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Proactively recognize and address risks such as volume declines, service gaps, and shifts in client relationships.
• Product Expertise & Enhancement: Drive revenue growth through the optimization of existing products, understanding, and effectively communicating key differentiators, product strategies, features, and functionalities.
• Client Expansion: Successfully identify and qualify growth opportunities to deliver exceptional client value. Collaborate with the sales team to present innovative solutions and expand the existing client base. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for Sales to pursue.
• Client Value Demonstration: Consistently illustrate and validate client outcomes, leveraging client reporting and knowledge of their business goals and metrics.
• Business Review Leadership: Conduct and lead all client business reviews and account plans to maximize value within the client’s portfolio.
• Client Advocacy: Ensure top-tier service delivery and client satisfaction; metrics include proactive client management, timely issue escalation and resolution, and transforming clients into loyal promoters. Obtain client references and permissions to support key Zelis initiatives and case studies as required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in a client management role within the Payer sector.
• Background in healthcare, including national insurance companies, or experience with cost management, electronic payments, and/or healthcare communication solutions.
• Proven track record in revenue management and increasing utilization within an assigned portfolio of mid to large enterprise clients.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent presentation, public speaking, and meeting management skills.
• Capacity to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
• Proven collaboration with key business partners: Sales, Operations, Product, Services, and Marketing.
• Ability to anticipate future trends and integrate them into business review strategies.
• Capable of synthesizing complex issues and communicating clearly with both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in formal and informal communication with VPs and Executive Leadership; demonstrates a comprehensive understanding with the ability to influence; established capability to influence across a matrix and with leadership.
• Experience utilizing data and reporting to accurately identify client and industry trends; adept at synthesizing data into compelling narratives.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and possesses the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to understand and address client concerns, feedback, and manage discussions appropriately.
• Estimated travel of 30-40% (primarily domestic for internal and external meetings).
