This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist in the administration and operation of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid identity, and services for directory synchronization.
• Execute identity administration tasks for users, groups, devices, applications, service accounts, and access permissions.
• Diagnose issues related to authentication, authorization, provisioning, account lifecycle, and access.
• Analyze logs, alerts, and system data to detect and resolve identity-related incidents and operational challenges.
• Provide support for Conditional Access, multifactor authentication (MFA), passwordless authentication, and other contemporary access control mechanisms.
• Aid in privileged access management tasks, including role assignments, access reviews, and enforcing least-privilege principles.
• Contribute to identity governance processes, such as access reviews, entitlement management, and managing joiners, movers, and leavers.
• Support enterprise application integrations and identity federation technologies, including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
• Assist with managing application identities, service principals, managed identities, workload identities, and service accounts.
• Help with Active Directory management, Group Policy oversight, directory health monitoring, and hybrid identity operations.
• Facilitate PKI and certificate lifecycle management tasks, including certificate issuance, renewal, inventory, and trust relationships.
• Identify and assist in mitigating identity-related risks such as excessive access, outdated accounts, weak authentication, and unmanaged credentials.
• Support security monitoring, threat detection, and incident investigations utilizing Microsoft security platforms and associated tools.
• Collect technical evidence, carry out root cause analysis, and aid in remediation efforts during security and operational incidents.
• Engage in cloud deployments, application onboarding, tenant migrations, and other identity-related projects and initiatives.
• Assist with audit, compliance, and governance tasks through evidence gathering, documentation, and control validation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.
• Support reporting, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, KQL, and related technologies.
• Adhere to established security, change management, incident management, and operational protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers, administrators, and stakeholders to enhance identity security controls and operational efficiency.
• Clearly communicate technical issues, findings, and project updates while continuously expanding identity security knowledge and expertise.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, identity administration, systems administration, cloud support, service desk support, or a related technical area.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Basic understanding of information technology concepts, including user accounts, permissions, authentication, operating systems, networking, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, or similar enterprise technologies.
• Knowledge of core security principles such as least privilege, multifactor authentication, role-based access control, and identity lifecycle management.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to adhere to established procedures, security standards, and change management protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to managing sensitive information responsibly.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical work clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting, manage assigned tasks, and escalate issues as necessary.
