Associate, Scoring Service

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assess responses to examination questions from Texas teacher candidates

• Internalize evaluation criteria, engage in discussions, and collaborate with fellow evaluators during consensus scoring sessions

• Identify and address different forms of bias, implementing strategies to minimize personal biases in the scoring process

• Meet the quality and productivity standards set for the scoring initiative

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess demonstrated experience and proficiency in sign language communication

• Have at least three years of experience in educating the deaf and hard of hearing or in ASL instruction

• Must reside in Texas

• Adhere to the ethical standards outlined in §SBEC 230.21 (g)

• Agree not to utilize your training or experience as a scorer to gain payment for any test preparation related to this assessment

• Withdraw from scoring any candidate responses where you have acted as the interviewer
