• Promote implantable devices for targeted therapies to physicians, healthcare institutions, payors, and other relevant medical personnel.
• Collaborate with key implanting centers to enhance the account/implanter practice by providing technical support and services related to products and therapies, including strategic management consultations and sales trend analysis, as well as utilizing appropriate Neuro business partners to deliver marketing and business strategies for territory expansion.
• Maintain a personal grasp of all applicable quality policy/system elements.
• Adhere to all operational and quality protocols to ensure compliance with the quality system and deliver high-quality work.
• Drive new sales by generating leads, recruiting new surgeons, qualifying prospects, and conducting sales calls.
• Expand the existing Pain and Interventional business while identifying and developing new opportunities.
• Operate independently, leveraging corporate resources to generate revenue and achieve or surpass sales targets.
• Execute approved marketing initiatives.
• Proactively pursue new customers, developing and adhering to action plans as directed by the District Sales Manager.
• Address customer complaints in line with Medtronic policy and promptly inform the District Sales Manager and Medtronic of any issues exceeding your authority.
• Stay informed about competitor products and merchandising strategies, keeping the District Sales Manager updated on developments.
• Keep current customer record books and other documentation in compliance with District Sales Manager guidelines.
• Prepare and submit call reports as requested by the District Sales Manager.
• Attend and engage in sales meetings, training sessions, conventions, and trade shows as instructed.
• Collaborate with all team members in executing Company programs.
• Develop and implement an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
• Deliver customer service tailored to individual needs.
• Respond promptly to all reporting requirements and requests.
• Comply with company policies and conduct all business ethically.
• Manage business operations within designated budgets while keeping Medtronic profitability in focus.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
• OR Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• OR Bachelor’s Degree.
• Relevant experience in sales, clinical roles, or related fields within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Strong understanding of the reimbursement landscape.
• Experience engaging with physicians in one or more of the following or related referral areas: Neurology, Physiatry, Oncology, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care.
• At least 1 year of experience in referral and therapy development.
• Background in working with surgeons.
• Proven experience in creating new, innovative market segments.
• Experience in making multiple referral calls daily.
• Familiarity with the operating room environment.
• Strong skills in business planning/consulting and financial analysis of the territory; preferred knowledge of managed care.
• Knowledge of physiology and clinical therapies.
• Familiarity with implantable devices.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Strong conceptual and consultative sales abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable quality policy/system elements.
• Capability to follow all work and quality procedures to ensure compliance with the quality system and deliver high-quality output.
