• Gaining a comprehensive understanding of all products, surgical specialties, and devices within the portfolio.
• Promoting and supporting our Surgical Portfolio within a designated geography to fulfill the clinical and economic needs of customers.
• Key points of contact include surgeons, nurses, and operating room personnel.
• Engaging with your existing customer base and following up for additional purchases, addressing pricing/delivery concerns, and providing overall support to enhance their experience.
• Developing and executing independent selling strategies to market products of intermediate complexity directly to customers via phone and in-person visits.
• Acquiring knowledge of the portfolio’s competitive advantages and effectively communicating this to assist customers in their product choices.
• Scheduling and completing customer sales calls to meet quotas and pursuing opportunities to grow the business.
• Conducting extensive prospecting, generating leads, and following up on leads for the sales teams; assisting in arranging product demonstrations for customers as needed.
• Facilitating clinical adoption of the product portfolio through trials, demonstrations, and training sessions to enhance customer engagement with the portfolio.
• Supporting product fairs, site visits, and mock rooms as required.
• Documenting activities and contacts in Salesforce.com, ensuring all information is up-to-date and relevant.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, accompanied by 2+ years of experience or a minimum of 2 years in an inside or field sales role within the healthcare or a related industry.
• Strong preference for candidates with medical device experience.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Familiarity with clinical workflow/clinical terminology and the hospital environment is advantageous.
• Proficient in computer applications, demonstrating a solid grasp of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
• Exceptional formal presentation abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone.
• Flexibility, independence, and the ability to work collaboratively with various team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Must be willing and able to travel at least 50-75%, which may include visits to remote or urban locations, either alone or with other team members.
• Candidates must reside within the current geography or be open to relocating there.
