Associate Project Manager, Climate and Decarbonization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation of energy and decarbonization strategies for global real estate partners.

• Aid in the technical execution of energy and decarbonization solution development, energy benchmarking, and reporting.

• Conduct technical asset-level evaluations and desktop portfolio assessments.

• Contribute to building performance standard compliance efforts throughout the US, including NYC LL97 and BERDO.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and third-party analysis tools to formulate decarbonization pathways for corporate occupier and owner/investor real estate clients.

• Engage with clients on decarbonization advisory scopes and collaboratively establish decarbonization targets, including SBTi.

• Assist in project documentation, research, weekly meetings, reports, and technical memos.

• Help advance and refine technical solutions for sustainability consulting services.

• Support data management processes, analytical capabilities, identification of third-party tools, and client-facing deliverables.

• Collaborate within the North American Sustainability Consulting platform.

• Contribute to sustainable building design and operational initiatives, including LEED, WELL, and Fitwel.

• Aid in ESG portfolio advisory for real estate corporate occupiers and owner/investor portfolios.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in real estate sustainability, energy/engineering analysis, and/or decarbonization/energy efficiency.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with building design, construction, and operations across various real estate asset types.

• Prior experience with site visits and client interactions.

• Strong analytical skills and creative critical thinking abilities.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in data analysis.

• A Master’s degree in engineering, sustainability management, or real estate is advantageous.

• Proven experience in technical data analysis and/or engineering delivery, client engagement, and presentation delivery is preferred.

• CEM certification is a plus.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
